| How the net proceeds from the book are used: 1. For books that are purchased via the web (through our friends at The Artful Gift Shop, who have graciously volunteered to handle distribution at very low cost): Checks will be sent directly to humane organizations and rescue organizations that are in the "Spread the Light" program. Checks will be sent at least once per quarter. Click here to see what organizations have received donations... 2. For books that are purchased via Amazon, other online stores, regular bookstores, etc. the author will determine what organizations will receive the donations. 3. For books purchased and resold by groups in the "Be the Light" program, those groups will keep all the net proceeds from the sale and can use the funds as they see fit. Please note that for books purchased at Amazon or in a bookstore, the net proceeds from these sales is much less than if you buy directly from us due to the very large discount that must be offered to these sellers. However, all proceeds from these sales will be donated as well. So if you like the book, and would like to help us in our efforts, please ask your local bookstore to carry it.
